What’s Next?

It’s so hard to believe it’s been almost ten years since my youngest left home. It was hard and I did flounder for a while wondering what to do when your main job for 18+ years has centered around the kids.

And no, I didn’t spend the last decade sitting around wondering what to do with myself. Far from it in fact.

II’m not one of those people who can just sit around doing nothing. So I kept myself busy. I built my businesses. I’ve worked direct sales, I’ve learned more about marketing, skincare, content, and entrepreneurship than I ever expected. I’ve taken classes, earned certifications, tried things, changed directions, figured out what fits me and what absolutely does not.

My life kept moving. (who’da thunk right?)

But it did. And quietly in the back of my head and heart there’s also been something else quietly sitting in there a very long time.

A dream I’ve held onto for years.

One of those dreams that gets pushed aside because the timing isn’t right. The kids need you. Life is busy. Money goes somewhere else. There’s always another reason to say, “maybe later.”

And eventually, later becomes ten years.

And now here we are.

Maybe it’s my age. Maybe it’s my perspective. Maybe it’s finally realizing that the second half of our life doesn’t have to be about winding down. Just maybe it can be about finally doing the thing you’ve wanted to do all along.

I’m not quite ready to spill the beans just yet. Not because I’m trying to be mysterious or aloof. I just want to take a few more steps before I announce it to the world.

But this much I will tell you:

I’ve done my research.(lots of it) and I’ve found something that feels very right. There are plans starting to come together.

And for the first time in a long time, I feel like I’m standing at the edge of something I’m excited about. I haven’t been excited in a really long time. Follow along to hear the big announcement very soon.
